With its Fellowship programme, CIRCE brought together young academics and practitioners from the cultural and creative economies from all over Europe, with a particular focus on promoting exchange with young experts from the United Kingdom after Brexit. Based on the potentials of the cultural and creative economies, the fellows explored and tested new ways and creative solutions for dealing with the challenges of our time, aiming to tap synergy effects in the interplay with other economic sectors and various policy fields and to identify opportunities for cooperation.

Twenty young scientists and 20 young entrepreneurs and creative professionals were selected as fellows and worked on their scientific research projects and creative products or services for six months. The fellowship included both financial support and a mentoring program with experts from the research labs. Regular analog and digital meetings focused on exchange and networking with other CIRCE participants.
