Is it possible to apply in 2024 when you’ve already applied in 2023?
Applicants to last year‘s CIRCE Programmes are still eligible to apply for the Fellowship Programme in 2024. However, it is important to note that this year’s Fellowship Programme focuses more specifically on creative and entrepreneurial practice rather then research and scientific methods.
I am interested in applying to the CIRCE Fellowship and was wondering what the length of the concept document is? Is there a minimum/maximum length?
All information regarding the format and lengths of the concept will be available in the tender documents. These will be available on the e-tending platform dtvp after opening on April 16th, 2024.
I found your email at CIRCE’s webpage. I am writing to you because I would like to ask you if there is any age limitation in 2024 CIRCE’s Fellowship Programme?
There is no age limitation for the 2024 Fellowship Programme.
We are interested but concerned as one of the last projects is very similar to what we are doing and would be interested to explore. So the question is: does it matter?
We will be primarily evaluating the quality of the applications. If you fulfill the requirements (see our Fellowship Guidelines), you are welcome to submit your application.
We (as a company) are interested in supporting applications from individuals with whom we have been exploring potential joint projects, developing ideas together, etc. While the individuals we would support are not employed by us, we were wondering if this would be considered as an affiliation of the applicant (mentioned at the end of p.11 of the guidelines)? Or are there any particular criteria to meet here? We would be happy to formalise the affiliation by providing a letter of support, etc.
Applicants who are currently employed by or have an affiliation with a scientific, cultural, or social institution or organisation, where the pilot project can be initiated, are encouraged to apply. However, meeting this criterion is not a mandatory condition for a successful application. There is no particular criteria to meet during the submission of the bid in the tender procedure. Applicants will be allowed to submit letters of recommendations as an optional part of their application. Please note, that such letters will not be relevant for the evaluation of the bid and will solely provide more context about the planned collaboration. We also want to point out that we are currently looking for interested mentors.
I recently registered for the CIRCE Programme 2024 but didn’t get any portal access or application form after confirming with my registered email address. I wonder if there’s anything other to prepare till 16th April in case I miss out any important application stage?
The pre-registration phase (expression of interest) takes place from March 19th to April 16th, 2024 at 1:00 pm CET. During this phase, if you wish to be invited to the tender procedure, you are only required to pre-register using the form. After the end of the pre-registration phase, you will receive an email with a link for DTVP signaling the opening of the tender procedure on the portal. The e-tending portal will open from April 16th to May 13th, 2024, 1:00 p.m. If you do not receive an email on the 16th of April, please check your spam folder.
You write that only residents from the EU can apply, but does the project also need to create impact in the EU? For instance, could a project that is based in Germany but has an impact on children in Indonesia also apply?
Residents of one of the 46 countries of the Council of Europe or Kosovo can apply for the Fellowship Programme 2024. The impact of the projects carried out by the Fellows does not have to apply to this geographical region.
I have a question about applying to the programme as a team of 2. If we are 2 fellows then should we separately apply or is one application enough? Either way, how should we specify that our application is a joint application?
The Fellowship Programme 2024 is conceived to support individuals and is not aimed at groups. Therefore, the application should be submitted individually and will be evaluated individually. We do not formally exclude applications from multiple individuals involved in the same project. Should you envision collaborating with another applicant, you are welcome to specify that in your concept.
Do the Impact Fund and the Fellowship Programme start with the same registration form? Can you apply for both options at the same time?
The registration form will give you access to the tender procedure for the Fellowship Programme. With the Fellowship Programme 2024, CIRCE is looking for 10 Fellows who plan on implementing pilot projects bringing creative impact into practice, which differs from last year‘s Fellowship Programme. There is currently no continuation of the Creative Impact Fund.
Can I ask if the Circe Fellowships are also open to EU-UK pilots and if so can an English/Scots EOI be submitted for a pilot with EU partners?
Individuals residing in one of the 46 countries of the Council of Europe or Kosovo can apply for the Fellowship Programme 2024. Therefore, interested persons from the UK are welcome to apply. If you fulfill the requirements (see our Fellowship Guidelines), you are welcome to submit your application.
