Studying Hackathons & other open-innovation grassroots events to understand their role and impact in boosting entrepreneurship in cultural & creative economies

The Research Lab in Tallinn is intensively studying hackathons in order to better understand their roles and impact on the cultural and creative economies. Hackathons or similar “grassmovements” are structurally coordinated on a specific topic – in this case the creative economies – in order to collect tangible and applicable ideas and concepts that could be relevant for the public sector. In this sense, Garage48 wants to scientifically test the applicability of hackathons within CIRCE.
